Born in 1966 in Stalzenau, Germany, Dietmar Busse has lived and worked in New York City since 1991. His recent exhibition, "Dietmar Busse, Fairy Tales 1991-1999", at Amant in Brooklyn, earned critical acclaim in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, and other prominent publications. Busse’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum Schloss Moyland in Germany, Wereldmuseum in Rotterdam, and the Leslie Lohman Museum in New York. His art has also appeared in The New Yorker, TIME, and The New York Times Magazine.
